yeah, i'm not a fan of blogging at work unless you get a written permission from the power that be, else it fall back and you suffer the consequences later. of course if you are blogging for work, that's a different story. in the end you have to live with yourself. there are always consequences for our actions, whether it be lost work productivity, getting fired, increased costs associated to the rest of the consumers because of misdirected efforts at work, but why should you care? just because someone else skims the candy doesn't mean you need to do so.

how can your values not be involved in your daily financial life? that's a different lense to the same question. often people cannot distinguish between other peoples' values and their own, which gives us the keeping up with the joneses syndrome and leads us down the financial spiral. the key is finding and living your own values not other peoples'.

Yeah, a blogger working in a job with computer access is like a kid being made a cashier in the candy store. No matter how much you tell the kid to only sell the candy, but not eat any, some candy will still vanish :)

Great Interview. And some very interesting answers by Trent and Jim. I am especially intrigued by the answer to the ethics of blogging at work. I don't completely agree, but with the amount of feeds in my RSS reader I tend to fall in step with Jim on that one!
